My hobby of lifting weights and working hard turned into a true passion for fitness. As well as strength and conditioning. I found CrossFit in 2010 after wanting more for myself. After doing CrossFit for a few months I fell into a coaching position. That is when I quickly found a new "WHY" for fitness and helping others.
Fast forward to today, I have spent countless hours learning as much as I can as not just a fitness instructor but also a strength and conditioning coach. The countless hours of reading material and courses I have tackled keeps me driving to be the best coach possible. Our gym continues to grow with not just members but also some outstanding coaches. Over and above of all the credentials I have acquired there is nothing that makes me happier then helping others be stronger physically and mentally. Strength comes in so many different ways than weight on a bar.
When you love your job it doesn't feel like work. I am beyond blessed to be in a position where I can positively influence people daily. That is one reason why I started my coaching career 15 years ago. Adding in Nutrition Coaching was a natural progression into helping others take control of their lives. I love watching people learn the importance of health/fitness in their life and take control of their physical and mental health. There is no better community of people around to support you in your journey than at The Loop!
I have always had a passion for coaching and helping others. Throughout my journey I have found myself falling naturally into what I love to do. Being a CrossFit coach is something I now look forward to each week. The best feeling is to see someone improve on something and knowing I had a hand in helping them make that connection.
I am the kind of person who falls in love with something, and gives my whole heart to it. That is just what I did with CrossFit. It's not just a workout; it's a lifestyle, a sport, a community, a family and a place I can call home. I am beyond excited to coach and express the love I have for fitness to so many people in a different light. I hope to continue being the motivator and educator to all athletes I see come in the doors.
You are the reason I coach-your best days are ahead of you. Every day that you push yourself just a little harder, and I get to share that with you is a joy. I love seeing you succeed in doing something you didn't believe you could. I am thrilled when you see yourself through a workout-and you like what you see.
For over five years I have been coaching CrossFit, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I myself have gone from overweight to athletic with the help of awesome communities and training. Coaching is about helping you understand how to get healthy and stay there. With a combination of experience and passion I am humbled to coach the amazing people at The Loop
Kids are my passion and I am so excited to be an integral part in sharing my love for CrossFit with the children of this community. My goal in every class is for each kid to walk away having so much fun and learning that fitness is a lifestyle anyone can do.
I am an enthusiastic, passionate and committed coach with 15 years of sports specific training and knowledge. As a D1 basketball player, I enjoyed the benefits of strength and conditioning and drive to instill that passion in others. I value proper preparation, nutrition and recovery when it comes to my own fitness, so I hope to instill that into those I coach. I'm excited to share my knowledge with The Loop community, learn new skills and share in new experiences.
I have been practicing yoga for about 3 years and have been a yoga teacher for 2 years. I am also a certified personal trainer and certified wellness coach. I have been working full time as a social worker for 18 years. Yoga, fitness and wellness is a passion that I would like to grow into my full time career. I have always been interested in fitness and wellness. I have always been athletic, I like to get my hands dirty and I enjoy a challenge.
I grew up being super active, playing soccer through college, as well as hiking, mountain biking, and snow-shoeing. I started doing Crossfit in 2016 and have fallen in love with the sport and the family at The Loop. I wanted to coach to give back to this community who has given me so much. I lost my husband in 2017, and fitness became my therapy. If I had a bad day, lifting heavy was a way to get out of my head. I have a passion for helping people and there is nothing better than helping someone with a movement or lift they may have thought they couldn't do. I can't ask for a better community than The Loop!
