Gym in Lake Stevens, WA
Mitch Roehl founded The Loop Fitness in 2013 to give Lake Stevens what it was missing: a CrossFit gym where you’re actually coached, actually known, and actually missed when you don’t show up. Built for real people — first-timers and seasoned athletes alike.
Meet your coaches at The Loop Fitness
Our coaches invest in people, not just programs. From your first session, they’re learning how you move, what drives you, and where you want to get to — then coaching you accordingly, every single time.

Some people fall into fitness. Mitch Roehl was called to it.
With over 15 years of CrossFit coaching experience and 12 years as the owner of The Loop Fitness, Mitch has dedicated his career to helping people discover what they’re truly capable of. His background spans a wide range of disciplines — from weightlifting and powerlifting to nutrition, mobility, and adaptive athletes. As well as coaching high school football and working with sport specific athletes to be ready for college and beyond. — giving him the tools to coach anyone, at any level, with confidence and intention.
Mitch’s coaching philosophy is simple: show up, care deeply, and never stop learning. He opened The Loop because he believed fitness had the power to change lives, and over a decade later that belief drives him out of bed every morning. He doesn’t coach because he has to — he coaches because he genuinely loves it, and that energy is contagious.
When you work with Mitch, you can expect to be met exactly where you are. No judgment, no intimidation — just honest coaching, real accountability, and a plan built around your goals. Whether you’re a seasoned CrossFit athlete chasing a new PR or someone who has never touched a barbell, you’ll find a coach who is fully invested in your success.
Outside the gym, Mitch is a proud single dad to a daughter who is his whole world. She’s his biggest motivation and the reason he pours everything he has into this community every single day.

I’m passionate about helping people become stronger, more confident, and capable both inside and outside the gym. I have been coaching CrossFit for about 4 years and also compete in Strongman.
My coaching philosophy is simple: fitness should challenge you, support you, and be something you actually enjoy showing up for. I believe progress comes from consistency, accountability, and creating an environment where athletes of all levels feel encouraged to push past their limits.
When you work with me, you can expect energy, encouragement, plenty of accountability, and probably a few jokes during the tougher workouts. Outside the gym, I enjoy traveling , and I’m fuelled by caffeine, good vibes, and celebrating PRs like they’re world records.

Leslie believes fitness should build confidence both inside and outside the gym. Members can expect supportive coaching, focus on proper movement, and an encouraging environment where hard work and humor go hand in hand. Outside the gym, she coaches youth soccer and enjoys books, sunsets, and strong coffee.

Our Mission
Our Story
Built in Lake Stevens, by a Lake Stevens kid
I was born and raised in Lake Stevens, and this town gave me just about everything — little league summers, Friday night football, friends I still have today. After a short stint at college, it didn’t take long to figure out where home really was.
I opened The Loop in 2013 to give some of that back. I didn’t want another room full of machines and forgotten memberships — I wanted a place where people belong the moment they walk in, where the coaching is real and accountability never tips into intimidation. Twelve years on, we’re not really a fitness facility. We’re a human-connection business that happens to use fitness as the vehicle — and Lake Stevens is still the heart of all of it.
